Meta Pixel Change on 12 November: Check Your Real Leads

From 12 November, Meta counts conversions on users' devices. This free Claude skill compares Meta's leads with the leads you really got.

Meta will report leads you never got

On 12 November 2026, Meta turns on a new pixel setting called "Measure conversions on customer devices". It's on by default. Meta says it counts conversions it missed before. That means the leads Meta reports can go up, even if the leads you actually get stay the same. This change doesn't apply in the EU or UK.

Why this matters

If Meta reports more leads, your CPL in Ads Manager looks better. Your real CPL doesn't change. If you judge campaigns on Meta's numbers, you might scale something that isn't really working. In our simulated example, Meta's CPL dropped from $21.00 to $17.66 after 12 November. The real CPL barely moved, from $22.40 to $21.92.

What this free skill does

You give it two files: your Meta Ads export (by day) and your lead export. It compares the two, day by day. It shows your normal gap between Meta's leads and your real leads, the day that gap opened, and how many extra leads Meta reported that never arrived. It also shows your Meta CPL next to your real CPL. It also catches tracking problems on your side, like a day when your form or integration broke.

Who it's for

Anyone running Meta lead campaigns outside the EU and UK. If you're inside the EU or UK, it's still useful for spotting tracking problems.

What you need

Your Meta Ads export broken down by day. In Ads Manager, click Breakdown, then By time, then Day, then export as CSV. You also need your lead export from your CRM or lead platform, with the date each lead came in.

How it works

Step 1. Download the skill from GitHub. Step 2. Upload it to Claude (Settings, then Skills). Step 3. Attach your two files and ask: "Are Meta's lead numbers real?" Step 4. Read the summary at the top. It tells you when the gap opened and what it did to your CPL.

Don't use Claude? The download also has a copy-paste prompt for ChatGPT or any other AI. Want to test it first? It comes with two sample files and the correct answers.
